Preheat the oven to 200 degrees F. Spread out the pretzel cubes on baking sheets and bake, flipping cubes halfway through, until the bread dries out, about 1 hour. Set aside to cool and increase the oven temperature to 375 degrees F.
Fry the bacon until crisp in a large saute pan. Remove to a paper towel-lined plate to cool. Drain off 1/4 cup bacon grease from pan; set aside. Add the onion and celery to the pan with the remaining bacon grease and cook over medium heat until soft, about 5 minutes; season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
Whisk together the chicken broth, beer, mustard, honey and eggs in a medium bowl.
Grease a 9-by-13-inch casserole dish, then gently combine the bread cubes, bacon, parsley and onion/celery mixture in the dish. Pour the broth mixture over the top and toss gently to coat. Pour the reserved bacon grease over the top; bake until set and golden, about 40 minutes.
Loved this! I used pretzel buns because it was what was available. I did not use bacon and substituted beer bratwurst….it was the bomb! I just cut them up small. Really added to the German vibe.

I made these with torn up, pretzel hamburger buns, no bacon and a handful of poultry seasoning. It is dangerously good. Accidentally it got eaten before the potluck and had to be made again. 😲

I see bacon in this recipe. I thought I was crazy as i didn't see her use bacon on TV. I hate the overpowering taste of bacon. I'm confused??? What gives? She clearly did NOT use bacon on TV.

Yummy! Decided to try this for something a little different this year. I was able to find pretzel bread bites, and that made prep a bit easier. Sliced each bite in two for more semicircle versus cubed pieces. Didn't get much beer flavor, which I think is good if you make this for as crowd of people who are not beer lovers. The mustard, however, really came through, and it was super delicious. Crunchy stuffing on the top, and nice and soft, but still maintaining its shape, in the center. Thanks, Molly!

Awesome! I saw this when Molly made it on her show. My family and I don’t like celery so I omitted that. We also don’t care for beer so I omitted that and replaced it with additional chicken broth. I also want to mention that by mistake I didn’t get a chance to dry the cubes for an hour so instead I toasted the cubes in the oven at 375 for 15-20 minutes and that worked out just fine. With these changes to fit my families tastes this recipe is amazing. It’s flavorful and goes great with several of the chicken dishes that I also make. I would have never of thought to use pretzels to make a stuffing but I’m sure glad that Molly shared this recipe because we love it. I can’t wait to make a couple of pans to add to the traditional dishes at the large family Thanksgiving this year so more people can try it. Thanks Molly!!!

You made an entirely different dish and this review is irrelevant and not helpful to others.

Thank you for your review. It definately lets others know they can switch it up if there is something they don't like in it and it still coming out fantastic!

Very delicious! Sometimes stuffing can be so boring but this was tasty. I couldn’t find pretzel bread on short notice so used French bread and was still good. Had that mustard tang to it. Will do again using pretzel bread.
